About Us

At continence first we believe that managing incontinence is the ultimate well being intervention. We believe in liberating people from the embarrassment, shame and isolation caused by bladder and bowel incontinence.
 
We develop and deliver simple, beneficial and effective bladder and bowel management programs, toilet training strategies and complex bladder and bowel care education which are tailored to the individuals age, gender identity and stage of life.
 
We are a team of dedicated qualified registered nurse continence specialists and we are a registered NDIS service provider.

Bio

Director and Nurse Continence Specialist (NCS)

Continence First is the culmination of 35 years’ experience working as a passionate NCS across a myriad of health care settings

  • Provides expert independent medico-legal examinations and reports in this field ongoing

  • Instrumental in the development and implementation of the National Continence Helpline and the Children with disabilities continence support scheme in Victoria

  • Initiation of the Victorian Continence Resource Centre NDIS Continence Service and the roll out of a National Clinical Continence Strategy for a large not for profit medical supply organization

  • Extensive contribution to this area of medicine, authoring multiple publications and chairing multiple advisory groups relating to the development and review of continence resource information, online education programs, credentialing and customer care service delivery models for continence and urological care.

Qualifications and Current Appointments:

  • BApp Sc (Nursing),RN, APHRA Grad Cert Continence Promotion, Grad Dip Business Management President - Continence Nurses Society Australia (CoNSA)

  • Membership – International Continence Society(ICS), International Children’s Continence Society(ICCS), Australian and New Zealand Urological Nurses Society (ANZUNS) and Australian College of Nursing
